If you're switching to Google Workspace but have been used to using Microsoft Outlook, don't hang your head. You can conveniently connect Google Workspace to your favorite Outlook using Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook (GWSMO) to sync your Google Workspace account with Outlook.

HOW TO DO IT?

Setting up and installing GWSMO

First, your administrator must allow you to install the tool in the admin console, which you can then simply set up yourself.

All you need is a Windows OS computer and the GWSMO application. GWSMO is not supported for Apple Macs. Outlook for Mac does not support MAPI (Messaging Application Programming Interface), which GWSMO needs to communicate with Outlook.

In the next stage, the user installs the aforementioned GWSMO. However, if you are friends with the Admin, he can take over this part for you (if not, this is the perfect opportunity to make new friends :-) ). HERE you will find the exact procedure on how to install it.

You will then be prompted to log in with the Google account you use for work.

In the next step, you can go even further and earn the respect of your colleagues by importing Outlook data into your Google account from the following source environments. This can be done from the following environments:

 - an existing Outlook profile

 - Microsoft Exchange profile (if you use Exchange).

 - a PST file containing the data exported from Outlook

There you go! After creating a Google Workspace profile in Microsoft Outlook, you can finally start using it.
